Family Updates For January 2010
Here are the current happenings in our family:

Snow, Snow Go Away ...

I’m done with winter now, it can just go away. I believe that our Nanning girl has had her fill of it as well. She loves the snow but unfortunately cold comes along with it. As fun as sledding and building snowmen is, when you only have a coat rated to -25 degrees, 30 degree weather can be a killer! She also knows now that snowfall comes with shoveling the driveway, which is no fun at all. Enjoy the snow photos and video.

Things around here are going well. At almost 11 months home, we all seem to be gelling into a nice, ordinary, functioning family, if there is such a thing. Posting seems to be getting harder because this is just life. Everyone has one and why would you want to peek in at ours? I know, I know, because Hannah is just so stinking cute! I can say that since she carries none of my genes.

We do have some post-worthy events coming up. For Chinese New Year we are going to Navy Pier in Chicago and then in March, pinewood derby for AWANA. Hannah made a great car that I’m sure will win — if not the actual race at least in looks. (Picture sparkly purple with green dragons.)

One more incredible event around our house is that we are going back to China to get a sister for Hannah and, incidentally, a second daughter for us. We can’t show photos yet but we will as soon as we can. I can tell you that she is an adorable, young lady who just turned 9 year old. We will be doing a website for her as well and will post it as soon as possible. Travel however, won’t be until this fall.

For now, enjoy Hannah.
