Referral Day:
On January 7th, 2009 at 8:10 a.m. Maury Reising (FTIA) called to let us know that we have a daughter. This is the call we have been awaiting for over 36 months. It was an absolutely surreal moment that filled our hearts with overwhelming joy. When we were finally able to gather our thoughts, we realized that from this day forward we had the privilege of calling this beautiful girl our daughter. Only God could have made such a wonderful moment by giving us such a precious gift!

About Hannah:
On admission to her SWI, Yuzhu was small but her general condition was good.
Her caretakers at the time described her as follows: "Yuzhu
is a very clever, pretty, active and cute girl. She has a pair of big and bright eyes
on her round face; her sweet smile is just like sunshine, making people feel warm. On the
day when she came to the institute, it was drizzling, just like her name, a clear raindrop."
In September, 2004 she was placed in the care of a foster family and has been there ever since.
Her foster family describes her as being a "pretty and sensible girl.
" She helps with chores and apparently has close relationship with her foster grandmother:
"She carries water and food to grandma every day ...
and she also goes out for a walk with grandma."
Yuzhu has been attending school near her foster family's home. She's a good student:
"She did well at school and she got straight ’A’...
teachers often stick a paper flower on her notebook as award ... she won praises in the drawing, writing
and calligraphy competitions; she also worked in the students’ government."
She is described as being quiet, helpful, and generous. Yuzhu likes
to "send notebooks and pencils as gifts to her fellow students whose
families were not rich." Her favorite activities include singing, dancing, riding her
bike, and playing badminton.
That's our little girl ... so much to love!!!
"I didn’t give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know the love I feel is deep and real, as if it had been so. For us to have each other is like a dream come true! No, I didn’t give you the gift of life; Life gave me the gift of you." ~Unknown
